Community Linking Places Fund Tranche 1 – £15,000,000 – 7th February 2012 – List of projects supported is here, 8million to Sustrans, 7million to Cycle Rail Working Group (CRWG)
Danger hotspots within London – £15,000,000 – 21st March 2012 – I’m not really sure where this has been spent or where it was officially announced
Dangerous Junctions outside London – £15,000,000 – 26th June 2012 – more details to be given in Autumn 2012. 4th April 2013 – List of schemes announced (press release says £40m but £20m is the amount funded by by the DfT. Extra £5m came from the topup announced 28th November below)
Local Sustainable Transport Fund topup – £40,000,000 – 27th June 2012 – to be spent 2011 to 2015 as well. Not all of this is for cycling, indicative split provided above.
Dangerous Junctions outside London topup – £5,000,000 – 28th November 2012 and clarified 30th January 2013 – Added to the fund above. Awarded on 4th April 2013.
Community Linking Places Fund Tranche 2 – £15,000,000 – 28th November 2012 and clarified on 30th January 2013 – This is for cycle-rail integration and enhancing community cycling, list of projects is here, 7.5million to Sustrans, 7.5million to Cycle Rail Working Group (CRWG)
Cycle City Ambition Grants – £30,000,000 – 30th January 2013 – This is up for grabs by 2/3 cities in wave 1 or 2 of the City Deals projects – Deadline for applications 30th April 2013 – Awarded to winning cities on 12th August 2013 along with extra funding (see below).
Cycling in National Parks Grants – £12,000,000 – 30th January 2013 – This is up for grabs by National Parks – Deadline for applications 30th April 2013. Application form here.
Local Growth Fund (LSTF Provision) – £100,000,000 – announced 2nd July 2013 as part of Local Growth Fund
Cycle City Ambition Grants Topup – £47,235,000 – 12th August 2013 – This money was added to the Cycle City Ambition Grants projects above, taking the total to about £77m. Awarded to winning cities on 12th August 2013.
Cycling in National Parks Grants Topup – £4,800,000 – 12th August 2013 – This money was added to the Cycling in National Parks Grants at the same time the winning bids were announced on 12th August 2013.
Trunk Road Cycle Proofing – £20,000,000 – 12th August 2013 – £5m in 2013/14 and £15m in 2015/16. Announced at the same time as other funding. I need a link to the list of schemes.
Local Sustainable Transport Fund 2015 to 2016 – £78,500,000 – 23rd December 2013 – £5m in 2015/16, revenue only. Press release here. 11th July 2014 – £64,000,000 awarded, list of schemes is here
Local Sustainable Transport Fund Topup – £2,000,000 – 17th April 2014 – £2m in 9 transport bodies
Cycle City Ambition Grants Extension – £114,000,000 – 27th November 2014 – Funding at approx £10 per head for a three year period starting 2015/16.
5th June 2015 – Now cut by £23,000,000 bringing total down to £91,000,000
Strategic Road Network Cycle Proofing – £100,000,000 – 27th November 2014 – To be spent over 3 years from 2015/16.
Investment for cycling and tourism in Yorkshire – £500,000 – 17th February 2015 – £500,000 to be spent over 2 years, (2015/16 and 2016/17) on constructing a number of cycle circuits across the county.
